Fifty Shades of Grey has turned Britain into a nation of bondage lovers.

BDSM is one of the UK’s most common sexual fantasies and many enjoy experimenting with dominance and submission in the bedroom.

So which kinky acts are most popular in the bedroom?

Sexperts at Lovehoney polled 4,500 people about their intimate desires.

The survey revealed that the majority of men and women enjoy a spot of spanking.

Spanking was enjoyed by both sexes – with an average of 70% trying it in the past.

It was women’s favourite activity, with 75% giving it a go.

While blokes also enjoy a bit of booty flogging, with 65% of them giving it a go in the past, more prefer to be blindfolded.

A sizeable 66% of men and women revealed they’d experimented with restricting their vision in the sack.

Many love gurus say that obstructing the eyes increases pleasure as it puts the focus onto the other senses.

Couples also admitted to enjoying tying each other up and nipple play.

In a bid to encourage more Brits to experiment in the bedroom, Lovehoney is flogging a Fifty Shades of Grey range.

And currently, shoppers can get the products for 10% off.

ADULT SHOP TAKES DOWN BONDAGE DISPLAY AFTER COMPLAINTS

USA – EUGENE, Ore. – A display showing a mannequin dressed in bondage accessories has been taken down at a Eugene adult shop after residents said they were offended.

The mannequin was tied up, handcuffed, blindfolded and wearing lingerie in the River Road Adult Shop storefront window.

One woman, who wanted to remain anonymous, said she first asked employees at the store to take it down on Oct. 28. On Sunday, she saw it was still up and sent an email to the company. She wrote the display was highly offensive and said it was causing a distraction to drivers, promoted violence against women and exposed children to pornographic imagery.

Mother of two Nuvia Jameson said the display is the last thing she wants her young children to see.

“Everyone has different interests, and I’m not here to judge at all, but to have it on display for everyone to see, I guess my concern is just children,” Jameson said.

KEZI 9 News reached out to the Adult Shop on Monday. An employee told KEZI they also thought the display was too much for the public and removed the bondage accessories from the mannequin. In an email to the offended resident, a company staff member apologized that it was not handled sooner. They said the display was not approved by their corporate office.

Theresa Boudreau lives right across the street from the store and said the display didn’t bother her but she believed they went too far and understands why parents with small children are upset.

“I don’t think there was any malice or forethought,” Boudreau said. “I don’t think anybody set out to be offensive or bother the neighborhood.”

The Adult Shop company has 11 stores in Oregon.

AUSTRALIA – A former adult ‘fantasy house’ disguised as a bondage dungeon in the heart of Sydney has hit the market for a whopping $3.5million.

Formally known as Temple 22, located in Darlinghurst, was described as ‘Sydney’s number one BDSM Dungeon and Fantasy House’. 

The three-level Victorian terrace home, that sits on a 199sqm block, closed its doors in February this year and has since undergone a massive refurbishment and a range of whips, chains and sex toys auctioned off.

The entry-level includes a large living room area, as well as a lounge room and study room leading out to an enclosed balcony. 

The lower ground floor also contains doors which lead to a patio where there is a small kitchen and three parking spaces. 

‘It used to be one of the area’s most exclusive fetish and kink houses. On 199sqm, it could be a house or a corporate HQ, What’s your fantasy?’ the sale sign reads. 

Upon entering the home, the black walls have now been painted white and the leopard skin rugs ripped away revealed floor boards. 

Agent Guido Scatizzi of BresicWhitney told realestate.com.au that the house would be ‘a perfect solicitor’s or lawyer’s office, with a residence downstairs in the old dungeon’.   

After closing it’s doors, everything in the ‘fantasy house’ was up for sale including beds, coffee tables, timber chests, fire gates, hall runners, glassware and lamps.

There are red velvet drapes, a zebra patern chaise lounge, cushions, mirrors and wing-back armchairs.

Hints of the themed rooms in this palace to bondage, discipline, sadism and masochism (BDSM) begin to emerge, with hospital equipment such as a stainless steel surgical trolley on offer.

Leather masks and ball gags are for sale with whips made of hair, suede, leather, PVC and rubber.

There are kangaroo hide stockwhips, a white leather straight jacket and a dog bowl with ‘MAN’ on the side.

Temple 22 described itself as a ‘sophisticated play-space, combined with modern and old school, traditional BDSM.
