UK – FIRST Dates viewers were left floored by a 65-year-old dominatrix on yesterday’s episode of the Channel 4 show.
The popular dating series made a comeback on Tuesday evening (January 9) with the charismatic Fred Sirieix leading the way.
Fans eagerly anticipated a fresh group of Brits searching for love.
But, minutes into the show, viewers realised it was not the latest episode from the new series, but a repeated one.
Despite the change, fans were thoroughly entertained when they watched a 65-year-old dominatrix go on a date with a 67-year-old chartered surveyor.
Sherry, from Swindon, revealed that her alter-ego Mistress Sophia’s ‘slaves’ range in age from 21 to 84, and insisted that her BDSM career path is no different to any other.
Speaking to First Dates barman Merlin Griffiths, she said: “It’s not sexual. I don’t touch them, they don’t touch me, apart from my feet.”
She added: “My children know what I do. All my neighbours know. My friends know. I don’t mix business with pleasure. It’s business.
“I don’t want to be dominant in a relationship. I would like it to be on an even keel, so that we both respect each other.
Fans were floored by Sherry’s job and all took to X/Twitter to make the same racy joke.
One quipped alongside a GIF of a shocked dog: “65 Yr old dominatrix!”
A second added: “Deep sea diver and a dominatrix?! Sometimes the jokes just write themselves!!”
A third joked: “Lets hope they didn’t see her other show with her gimp.”
A fourth wrote: “Have to address the gimp in the room I think she meant.”
A fifth added: “Wow John is in for a treat with her isn’t he!”
Elsewhere some viewers were left complaining about the repeated episode on Channel 4.
One fumed: “What The F*ck! So there’s no showing of the 2nd episode in the new series. Was looking forward to it all night. Thanks.”
A second complained: “What the hell! What’s happened to the new series?”
A third chimed in: “This is ridiculous! Why is this a repeat episode?”
A fourth raged: “When you wait all day for a new First Dates episode in the new restaurant and it’s canceled seconds before 10pm, why do we want to see a repeat, thought Channel 4 was canceling shows to make new ones!”
