THE NETHERLANDS -HEEMSKERK – Besides my personal wishes, I hope that by 2025 we will be freed from the increasing BDSM prudishness on social media and even in LGBTIQ movements. Apparently everyone is included except BDSMers. Even if you use AI such as Chatgpt, it immediately goes into meltdown if you use the word BDSM. It seems because we use terms that do not appeal to WOKERS with the sensitive slavery of terms such as: slave, slave, Master and Mistress. After the “50 Shades of Grey” books, the BDSM taboo doors seemed to slowly creak and squeak open. Only to slam down harder these days. It seems to be the same censorship as with political opinions or “disinformation” that are not to the liking of the ruling power. When elections are held, people are suddenly shocked by those “deviating” opinions in the form of the results. This is the same with BDSM. More and more people are doing it despite the increasing taboo in the media and politics. Time to dust off Article 1 of the Dutch Constitution again in the context of democracy and freedom of expression. Wishing everyone a beautiful, free, healthy, happy and, if desired, kinky 2025. USA – Suspense Comics #3 from 1944 is one of the most infamous Golden Age comics, featuring an unforgettable Alex Schomburg cover. A copy is currently up for auction, with a high bid of $110,000. According to the Heritage Auctions listing, this particular copy “has never been offered for public sale before,” and while higher-grade copies exist, they would cost “the price of a house.” This VG 4.0 grade copy represents an accessible entry point for collectors, featuring “strong front-cover colors and an overall appearance” that makes it particularly appealing.

CANADA – TORONTO – York University says Alan Young, a lawyer and legal scholar known for leading the challenge of Canada’s prostitution laws before the country’s top court, has died at age 69.

CANADA – MONTREAL – A research project sheds light on the body image benefits of pup play, a role play in which people pretend to be dogs.

Pup play is a role-playing game in which humans adopt canine characteristics and behaviours: wearing dog masks, barking, crawling on all fours, drinking from a bowl, play-fighting with other pups and engaging in other dog-like activities.

While still a niche subculture, its visibility is growing, particularly among gay, bisexual, transgender and queer (GBTQ) men. Pup play has its roots in BDSM (bondage and discipline, domination and submission, sadomasochism) and particularly the leather community, but it is more a social and community-building activity than a sexual practice.

Olivier Ferlatte, a professor in the School of Public Health at Université de Montréal and a mental health researcher specializing in LGBTQ+ communities, and his colleague Phillip Joy from Mount Saint Vincent University looked at the benefits of pup play for the body image of its practitioners.
