IRELAND – DUBLIN – A sold-out kink workshop in Dublin later this month will feature lessons in spanking and bondage.
Jenny Keane is bringing a panel of experts including a “sex historian” and a professional dominatrix to the event on August 29.
The former yoga teacher turned sex educator told us: “Australian sex historian Esme Louise James will give the background on kink. I’ll be doing sex education on kink.”
Irish American dominatrix Domina Clarity, who featured in a TV series presented by Lucy Kennedy, will also be in attendance. Jenny, 38, said: “Domina Clarity will give people simple skills on bondage and spanking, so they can kink up their bedroom experience.

“It’s interesting to get people into the mindset of why you would do this. It’s about teaching people why you would use these in the first place.”
Debunking a myth Jenny explained that spanking is not about “hitting your bottom” but rather about stimulating erogenous zones. Workshops allow couples or solo participants to explore kink via an educational framework, Jenny assured.
She added: “We talk about submission and dominance on the night too. You can use these techniques to give you confidence in all aspects of your life. In kink and BDSM, it’s all about consent, you have to learn to say yes or no. It’s empowering.”
Tickets sold out in minutes for the kink workshop, with capacity limited to 150 to create an intimate setting. Jenny said the success of previous workshops is testimony to the fact there is an appetite in Ireland for sex education.
