Demanding cash from “paypigs” has piqued thousands of people’s interest, while millions are turning their back on looking for public spaces to have sex.

Research commissioned by leading sex and relationship expert Rachel Thompson, in partnership with sex positive platform called Sensuali, analysed 160 million Google searches over the last five years.

The Google data, which looked at 100 kinky words, revealed that thirst traps became even bigger business in 2024.

This practice, where someone posts on social media to spark desire in one or some of their followers, increased in searches by a staggering 335%.

Cheeky ladies and gentlemen were going crazy for “findom” over the last 12 months, with the term seeing a whopping 83% rise in searches.

Findom is short for financial domination, and is a kink where two people engage in a power dynamic centered around money.

Both participants derive satisfaction from the exchange, with the dominant person enjoying the power of demanding money and the submissive finding sexual gratification in being financially controlled.

The submissive individual is often referred to as a “paypig”.

There is no requirement of intimacy in this fetish and the relationship can take place entirely online, indicating a rise in Brits utilising technology to receive sexual gratification.
