UK – LONDON – A MILITANT black power activist branded Sir Winston Churchill a whore’s son after being welcomed into the Commons by a Labour MP.
Omowale Rupert claimed Britain’s wartime leader was conceived after his father visited an African hooker’s bondage den.
In an astonishing 40-minute rant, he also trashed the reputation of William Wilberforce, the MP who abolished slavery.
He branded the revered politician a junkie and a serial rapist who OPPOSED the ending of the slave trade.
Last night Omowale’s remarks were branded “odious” and “repulsive” by Churchill’s family.
But former shadow equalities minister Dawn Butler, who attended the event, failed to challenge his comments.
She told the small audience in the Palace of Westminster: “This place has to be opened up for everyone to have a voice.
“That’s the whole point of having a Parliament and that’s why I was happy to help facilitate you being here today.”
Ms Butler listened as Omowale smeared two giants of British political history at an event co-organised by his Pan African Society Community Forum.
Bob Brown, founder of the Black Panther party in Chicago, was guest of honour at the event in Commons committee room 18.
Nobody batted an eyelid, as Omowale told how Churchill was really the son of an infamous London prostitute called Agnes Bronte.
He said: “There is a character by the name of Churchill – a war man from Britain, a part of British imperialism…and he made her pregnant during this whole process and they had a son.
“It was a secret at the time but the history has come out and that son was named Winston Churchill. Yes, it’s that same Winston Churchill.”
Omowale also besmirched William Wilbeforce, the MP and philanthropist, claiming that he was a drug abuser who raped African women.
He declared: “Yeah, it’s a fact. We can prove this. He was a cocaine addict for 40 years. Not just a fly-by-night cocaine addict. He was a junkie. They’re telling us it was a junkie who freed us.
“When you look at the history of this man, you will find that he was a serial rapist of African woman.
“African women were captured, held prisoner in these brothels and then he would go into these brothels and sexually attack these African women who could not say no. What is that, other than rape? We’ve got the evidence.”
He claimed Wilberforce was also entertained by Agnes Bronte and he used to have sex in chains with her and say “this is what happens to African women on the slave ships”.
Omowale insisted: “This is standard knowledge for some historians.
“This woman went on to become the most famous prostitute in Britain. She had a place called the Bronte dungeon.”
Ms Butler got to her feet after his outburst and gave a short message welcoming guests to “my workplace”.
But the Brent Central MP did not challenge Omowale’s remarks.
She said: “It’s important we listen because we do a lot of talking in this place and it’s good just to listen.
“Your presence alone is enough to get this place talking. Whenever I have an event, there’s lots of black people around and people say ‘Dawn must be doing something’.”
Tory MP Sir Nicholas Soames, who is Churchill’s grandson, branded Omowale’s remarks “pathetic” rantings of a “nutter” last night.
He said: “I’m 68 and have lived through endless stories about my grandfather.
“One of the greatest things this country has is absolute freedom of speech. He is perfectly entitled, however odious some people may find his views including myself, to exercise it.
“Churchill would not have wanted any restriction on anyone’s freedom to express any view on anything, providing it is within the law.
“It may be repulsive and offensive but it is not illegal. I’m way past the age of getting annoyed by stories like this.
