HILVERSUM – A steamy club full of dancing bodies, clad in latex, or simply naked: that is the vibe of Torn , COBRAH’s debut album. By day she taught at primary school, but at night she dove into Stockholm’s BDSM scene. With clubby tracks like ‘GOOD PUSS’ and ‘BRAND NEW BITCH’, she previously garnered a huge fanbase of ravers in the LGBTQ+ community. Now we can finally enjoy her debut album: Torn is electropop, dark, clubby, and above all, incredibly sexy. It fits perfectly into a playlist with artists like Charli xcx, FKA twigs, SOPHIE, and Skrillex (her major source of inspiration). Due to her often overtly sensual lyrics, ‘BDSM-pop’ is perhaps the best way to describe Torn . On ‘Hush’, she sings, ‘Got your tongue on my lips. Got your hands on my tits.’ She is also nice and direct on ‘Dog’: ‘I want a life together, you just wanna fuck me.’
