NETHERLANDS – HEEMSKERK – For the first time in Dutch history, a political BDSM party is participating in the municipal elections in Heemskerk. The party advocates for the acceptance of BDSM practitioners in society and within the LGBTQ+ movement, where BDSM practitioners also find themselves at the bottom of the acceptance ladder. The Schoengier couple, better known in the scene as Mistress Sjaan and slave Robbert, decided, together with assistant Mistress Mimi Beursklauw, to make a stand for all BDSM practitioners who are forced to live deep in the closet. A BDSM Radio broadcast announcing the results will follow on April 1st. So keep your fingers crossed for this courageous trio!
