AUSTRALIA – Sydney bondage photographer, Garth Knight, has been granted bail after spending almost a month in custody following his arrest for the alleged sexual assault of two models during photo shoots.

Knight, 48, was charged with sexual intercourse without consent and aggravated sexual assault, relating to alleged incidents occurring at a Surry Hills warehouse in 2005, and a Waterloo home in 2011.

He was initially denied bail after his arrest last month, but has now been granted a conditional release in return for a $480,000 bond, along with a series of conditions including being banned from any activity involving photographing nude persons or any women, or being present during any shoot involving a woman or naked person. According to The Australian, he must report daily to Redfern police station, and must not contact any woman who has modelled for him, with the exception of his partner.

Knight primarily uses photography to showcase installations he creates using humans and rope. He describes himself as a ‘sculpturalist’, who ‘photographs rope and bodies as sculptural forms’, using a Japanese erotic bondage tradition called Shibari. Both alleged victims were tied up at the time of the alleged assaults.

Police have been investigating the photographer since May, when a woman filed a report with Police regarding the alleged incident from 2005. A second report then came from a woman who alleged she was sexually assaulted during a photo shoot at a Waterloo home in 2011 when she was 33.

When Knight was initially denied bail his solicitor, Phillip Ryan, claimed the photographer had previous sexual contact with one claimant prior to the alleged incident, and had discussed engaging in sexual contact with other model prior to the photo shoot.

AUSTRALIA – A former adult ‘fantasy house’ disguised as a bondage dungeon in the heart of Sydney has hit the market for a whopping $3.5million.

Formally known as Temple 22, located in Darlinghurst, was described as ‘Sydney’s number one BDSM Dungeon and Fantasy House’.

The three-level Victorian terrace home, that sits on a 199sqm block, closed its doors in February this year and has since undergone a massive refurbishment and a range of whips, chains and sex toys auctioned off.

The entry-level includes a large living room area, as well as a lounge room and study room leading out to an enclosed balcony.

The lower ground floor also contains doors which lead to a patio where there is a small kitchen and three parking spaces.

‘It used to be one of the area’s most exclusive fetish and kink houses. On 199sqm, it could be a house or a corporate HQ, What’s your fantasy?’ the sale sign reads.

Upon entering the home, the black walls have now been painted white and the leopard skin rugs ripped away revealed floor boards.

Agent Guido Scatizzi of BresicWhitney told realestate.com.au that the house would be ‘a perfect solicitor’s or lawyer’s office, with a residence downstairs in the old dungeon’.

After closing it’s doors, everything in the ‘fantasy house’ was up for sale including beds, coffee tables, timber chests, fire gates, hall runners, glassware and lamps.

There are red velvet drapes, a zebra patern chaise lounge, cushions, mirrors and wing-back armchairs.

Hints of the themed rooms in this palace to bondage, discipline, sadism and masochism (BDSM) begin to emerge, with hospital equipment such as a stainless steel surgical trolley on offer.

Leather masks and ball gags are for sale with whips made of hair, suede, leather, PVC and rubber.

There are kangaroo hide stockwhips, a white leather straight jacket and a dog bowl with ‘MAN’ on the side.

Temple 22 described itself as a ‘sophisticated play-space, combined with modern and old school, traditional BDSM.

‘Visit Temple 22 if you are seeking a unique, erotic and profound experience where you will leave with an overwhelming feeling of satisfaction that includes theatre, fantasy, kink and fun.

‘Our BDSM Professionals have been handpicked to ensure the quality realisation of your ultimate fantasy.

‘Our facilities have been created to entertain your every fantasy and desire.’
