THE NETHERLANDS – ALKMAAR – Was it the alcohol, or did a 21-year-old woman choke on her boyfriend’s genitals three years ago? That was the question at the heart of the bizarre case heard in court in Alkmaar on Thursday. The prosecutor demanded a 30-month prison sentence for 33-year-old Sebastiën van de B. from Burgerburg, whom she holds responsible for the woman’s death.
“He deliberately pushed his penis into her mouth, even though she was completely wasted on the couch,” the officer said. Van de B. called 911 himself that night and told the officers he didn’t know “whether she choked on my cock or her spit.” He also said his girlfriend suddenly turned blue while giving him a blow job. And: “I don’t like it when girls only suck on my glans. Then he has to go in deep.”
The young woman’s death followed a drunken evening and night. Videos Sebastiën van de B. made that night were played in court. He said he made them to confront her about her drunken behavior, but he sent them to friends and acquaintances via Snapchat.

The videos show a coffee table covered in beer bottles. Of B. and the victim drinking ouzo from highball glasses, and of the woman gagging over the sink while her boyfriend films her upskirt. Of Sebastiën van de B. frying snacks naked in the garage. And of the victim, barely conscious, lying on the couch, while Sebastiën van de B. shouts: “Hey, are we going to have a blowjob? In the back of your mouth? Is it going to be ouzo or a blowjob?” One of the judges counted how many times the defendant shouted: “Are you going to have a blowjob? Do I have to shove that dick in your mouth?” Nine times.
“I’m just too big”
“She was oversexed,” Van de B. claimed. “And she became aggressive when I rejected her.” The judge: “In the videos, you come across as very forceful.” In the footage he shot himself, Van de B. is seen behaving extremely aggressively towards his girlfriend, towards the police, and ranting at his mother: “If she’s dead, it’s your fault! I’m just too big and you made me!”
Once sobered up, he retracted those statements. According to his lawyer, Mirthe Docter, there’s no evidence that Sebastiën van de B. deliberately shoved his genitals so deep into the victim’s throat that she choked. Docter pointed to the high blood alcohol content the toxicologist found in the victim’s blood. A level that could also have led to death.
The victim’s phone made two hours of audio recordings that night that could shed more light on the events, but police haven’t yet managed to crack them. “That could be next week, but it could also take five years,” the presiding judge said.
Young woman raised by aunt
The public prosecutor is convinced that Sebastiën van de B. is the culprit, as are the relatives of the young woman, who lost both parents at a young age and was raised by an aunt.
“We weren’t happy with that unhealthy and unsafe relationship. With the right help, she would have found her way back,” her aunt said. The ruling was issued on July 24.

While this article has absolutely nothing to do with BDSM, it does point out that excessive alcohol and drugs can be extremely dangerous, especially if you’re involved in BDSM, where the submissive partner is often in a powerless position.
Yet, you often see dating ads where people want to engage in BDSM and/or sex with pills, sniffs, and/or a large amount of alcohol. Especially with BDSM, even the slightest risk of flipping out is dangerous. So: “Think before you leap.”
Besides the fact that the suspect in this case is an incredibly nasty person and a jerk, that’s also something to keep in mind when seeking BDSM contact.
