The Model County bought more sex toys than any other county in Ireland over the past twelve months, according to playblue.ie, beating off stiff competition from neighbouring Carlow, which has held the kinky title for the past five years running.
Residents of the Dolmen County this year came second for splashing out on the store’s best-selling toys, like a €30 11-piece bondage kit and €60 Satisfyer wand, while Wicklow natives came third.

Demanding cash from “paypigs” has piqued thousands of people’s interest, while millions are turning their back on looking for public spaces to have sex.
Research commissioned by leading sex and relationship expert Rachel Thompson, in partnership with sex positive platform called Sensuali, analysed 160 million Google searches over the last five years.
THE NETHERLANDS -HEEMSKERK – Besides my personal wishes, I hope that by 2025 we will be freed from the increasing BDSM prudishness on social media and even in LGBTIQ movements. Apparently everyone is included except BDSMers. Even if you use AI such as Chatgpt, it immediately goes into meltdown if you use the word BDSM. It seems because we use terms that do not appeal to WOKERS with the sensitive slavery of terms such as: slave, slave, Master and Mistress. After the “50 Shades of Grey” books, the BDSM taboo doors seemed to slowly creak and squeak open. Only to slam down harder these days. It seems to be the same censorship as with political opinions or “disinformation” that are not to the liking of the ruling power. When elections are held, people are suddenly shocked by those “deviating” opinions in the form of the results. This is the same with BDSM. More and more people are doing it despite the increasing taboo in the media and politics. Time to dust off Article 1 of the Dutch Constitution again in the context of democracy and freedom of expression. Wishing everyone a beautiful, free, healthy, happy and, if desired, kinky 2025.Kinky greetings, tom Verhoeven (google translation oepppssss)

USA – Welcome toDoing It, a column where sex educator Varuna Srinivasan explores the deep connections between sex and emotions. This month, they offer a beginner’s guide to getting into BDSM.
The night where I truly understood power through sex involved my vibrator, mood lighting, and two words: Good. Girl.
As a big fan of audio erotica, I had settled under the covers with my vibrator ready as I listened to a piece with the tags “rough play, submissive girlfriend,” “male domination,” “gentle degradation” and… “praise kink.” Phew. You get it. If you think the tags sound intense, I promise you the audio was even more so. The narrator’s voice was deep and husky with a tinge of a British accent. It instantly transported me to a fantasy where I was the submissive girlfriend who was more than happy to surrender control and give in to every explicit directive. From that moment on, my life would forever split into two eras: pre-being called a “good girl” and post.
USA – Suspense Comics #3 from 1944 is one of the most infamous Golden Age comics, featuring an unforgettable Alex Schomburg cover. A copy is currently up for auction, with a high bid of $110,000. According to the Heritage Auctions listing, this particular copy “has never been offered for public sale before,” and while higher-grade copies exist, they would cost “the price of a house.” This VG 4.0 grade copy represents an accessible entry point for collectors, featuring “strong front-cover colors and an overall appearance” that makes it particularly appealing.
The cover’s striking imagery is vividly described in a Comic Connect listing for a different copy as “a Nazi/Bondage/Horror/War hybrid” showing “a hooded Nazi holding a sword, ready to plunge it into the heaving breast of a captive woman in peril. Meanwhile, spear in hand, her would-be savior stands poised to strike at the dastardly soldiers gathered around a fire, as one of them makes a futile attempt to protect their ill-gotten prize.”

If you want to explore your deepest fantasies, finally uncover your sexual curiosities, or need a way to assert your boundaries, you might want to consider having a safe word with your partner.
With a rise in the normalcy of BDSM — the sexual practices involving bondage and discipline, dominance and submission, and sadism and masochism — safe words allow those in sexual relationships to safely explore their sexual desires and provide them with a clear-cut way of communicating their boundaries.
Her Campus spoke with sexologist and host of the Sex With Dr. Jess podcast, Jess O’Reilly, to get expert advice on the perfect safe word. Here’s what you should know:
And it’s a lot wilder than merely holding off on the hanky panky — there’s still a show of sorts, just no grand finale.
While it may seem like an old-fashioned, even medieval concept — clunky metal chastity belts have been around longer than any of us — the quaint quirk has experienced a revival in recent years.
According to data shared by C4S, interest in chastity sex toys surged by 193% since 2020, with a 71% increase in 2024 alone.

She joined host Paul C. Brunson to explain how she’s become so successful in the sex work industry despite not bedding her clients.
Paul broached the subject candidly, admitting: “I always, ignorantly, associated being a dominatrix with sex or BDSM, but you haven’t had sex in four years.
“So can you explain, what is BDSM?”
Chidera replied: “BDSM is all about exploring power dynamics between yourself and consenting partners.
“Consent is the overarching key word in all of this, everything is entirely consensual and it’s about exploring kink in a way that feels safe.”
CANADA – TORONTO – York University says Alan Young, a lawyer and legal scholar known for leading the challenge of Canada’s prostitution laws before the country’s top court, has died at age 69.
The university’s Osgoode Hall Law School says Young’s death on Saturday is a “profound loss” for the legal profession.
Young was a central figure in a landmark Supreme Court case that struck down Canada’s prostitution laws as unconstitutional in 2013 and forced the federal government to revise the legislation
USA – A golden shower may sound like a fancy version of an everything shower—but it’s actually the rare kind of shower that often happens outside of the bathroom. And it’s also the type of shower designed to bring you pleasure, rather than deep-cleaning.
A golden shower involves “the erotic enjoyment of urine,” says Carol Queen, PhD, a sexologist and sociologist, a sex educator with Good Vibes, and co-author of The Sex & Pleasure Book: Good Vibrations Guide to Great Sex for Everyone. The handful of recent media depictions of golden showers have shown the act as being pretty out there. But despite what those viral You and Industry golden shower episodes may imply, it’s “a pretty common kink, and quite safe and easy to do,” according to Gigi Engle, a COSRT-certified sex and relationship psychotherapist and resident intimacy expert at dating app 3Fun.
And if you’re curious about it, you’re not alone. At least 8 percent of heterosexual women, 19 percent of heterosexual men, 20 percent of lesbian and bisexual women, and 40 percent of gay and bisexual men report having fantasized about pee play before, according to one 2020 survey of more than 4,000 Americans published in Tell Me What You Want by internationally recognized sex educator Justin Lehmiller, PhD.

Pup play is a role-playing game in which humans adopt canine characteristics and behaviours: wearing dog masks, barking, crawling on all fours, drinking from a bowl, play-fighting with other pups and engaging in other dog-like activities.
While still a niche subculture, its visibility is growing, particularly among gay, bisexual, transgender and queer (GBTQ) men. Pup play has its roots in BDSM (bondage and discipline, domination and submission, sadomasochism) and particularly the leather community, but it is more a social and community-building activity than a sexual practice.
Olivier Ferlatte, a professor in the School of Public Health at Université de Montréal and a mental health researcher specializing in LGBTQ+ communities, and his colleague Phillip Joy from Mount Saint Vincent University looked at the benefits of pup play for the body image of its practitioners.
