Last month, Christina became emotional when she accepted an award from a domestic violence shelter last week.
The star was honored with the Community Hero award from Nevada’s The Shade Tree, and tearfully recounted her own past with domestic violence during her speech.
The superstar has opened up in the past about the abuse she, her mother and her sister endured at the hands of her father, becoming a role model for domestic violence survivors.
